After 4 years Waiting At Last Little Nightmares 2

    Sequel to the disturbing platformer from 2017 from the independent studio Tarsier. Little Nightmares II introduces new locations, characters and enemies, maintaining the unique atmosphere of the first installment. Bandai Namco is again responsible for the release of the game.

In Little Nightmares II, the heroine of the first one - the Six - returns. However, this time she is not alone and acts as a guide. The first violin is played by a boy named Mono, who, together with the girl, has to face the terror lurking in a new place, distorted by a transmission broadcast from a distant Signal Tower, hiding many dark secrets.

The protagonist of the game goes on a journey to a mysterious tower filled with numerous obstacles and hindered by the terrible inhabitants of the world rotting from within, to discover the source of evil spreading through the TV screens and save the Six from a terrifying fate. Mono is her only hope.

    The most important change from the first Little Nightmares is the presence of two heroes who work together during the game, especially when overcoming traps and solving puzzles like Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The two also abandon the Maw known from the previous Six adventures in favor of new locations with previously unseen dangers. During the adventure, we visit dark forests, terrifying streets or schools full of sinister inhabitants, changed by the broadcast. As in the first part, the gameplay is still about jumping from one platform to another, overcoming obstacles, solving logical environmental puzzles and avoiding the gaze of warped, overgrown inhabitants in a chilling atmosphere. The player still has to be vigilant at every step and make as little noise as possible so as not to be detected by sinister opponents such as the sadistic teacher or the bloodthirsty hunter. The graphics in Little Nightmares II are kept in the same style as in the first part. A dense, dark atmosphere and grotesque aesthetics prevail. The quality of the visual setting has been raised compared to the predecessor, and the background music and disturbing sounds of the surroundings only further emphasize the atmosphere of terror and constant anxiety.

    Little Nightmares II is intended for single player only. The control over the second character is taken over by artificial intelligence, which reacts appropriately to the situation and the behavior of the hero we control.

    Little Nightmares II's free demo will be available from January 13, 2021 on all hardware platforms. Next-gen. Owners of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions received a free game update for PS5 and Xbox Series X, enjoying the benefits that the versions for new generation consoles brought (including better graphics and higher animation fluidity).
