Ghostrunner - sales exceeded the publisher's forecast
By the end of 2020, over half a million copies of Ghostrunner were sold, exceeding the publisher's forecast.
The Polish studio One More Level has reasons to be pleased. The Ghostrunner game, developed by the team, has sold over half a million copies. This result was achieved by the end of last year, so it is now probably a bit higher. All in! Games, which has published Ghostrunner, assumed that the total sales of the game would reach 400,000 copies. We managed to achieve this level just two months after the premiere, so the publisher is very pleased with how the production is doing on the market.
Ghostunner debuted on October 27 last year on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In December, a version for Nintendo Switch was released. The game was warmly received. According to Metacritic, the PC edition has an average rating of 81%. For the XONE and PS4 releases it is 76%, while the Switch edition scored 73%. Our editor also liked the project, giving it a note 8.0 / 10. On Steam, 91% of user reviews are positive. Last month, Ghostrunner received an update that introduced a new, more difficult mode called Hardcore Mode, offering modified levels with tougher-to-kill enemies. At the same time, the paid DLC Winter Pack with cosmetic items was released. The development of the game will not stop there. Boasting about the sales results, the publisher announced that the development of the project is scheduled for twelve months after the premiere. We can expect further updates, a large DLC expansion and conversion to the Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5.
